As access to information is a Universal Human Right and since an informed citizen is better equipped to face the various challenges in life, awareness campaigns on issues that are relevant to women are regularly organised.
These include sensitizing campaigns on issues such as “Child Abuse”, “The importance of breastfeeding”, “Courtesy”, “The need to preserve the environment”, and “The importance of social work”. These activities, which take place in different towns and villages of the country, are run under the guidance of professionals both locally and abroad.
So as to sensitize people on the need to be honest, the CDM participated in the elaboration of a brochure on “Honesty” published by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).
During awareness campaigns, resource persons from ministries, the police department and social workers are invited to share their experiences and knowledge with the participants.
