The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) addresses aspects of women’s rights to health. It requires the provision of equal access to information in health care.
With this in mind, the CDM put in place a series of sensitizing campaigns so as to inform women of their rights to good health care and more important, to take care of their health for their own welfare and that of their family.
Women are encouraged to take care of their health since when they are ill, it is the whole family that suffers. They are taught how to cook balance diet food for the family. They are also encouraged to attend swimming and aerobics classes so as to keep themselves fit and healthy.
